Doordarshan’s free DTH service Freedish will
not be available for five hours from 12.30 to
5.30 am on 30 September due to technical
maintenance.
“All viewers of DD Freedish may please note
that from 00.30 hrs to 05.30 hrs on
30.09.2016 Doordarshan DTH service DD
Freedish channels will not be available due to
technical maintenance,” the pubcaster has said
in a notice posted on its website.

Jha said that the DTH operator had started
routine maintenance work.
The Freedish bouquet provides 80 TV and 30
radio channels. It is available throughout the
country except in the Andaman & Nicobar
Islands, and reaches even those places where
terrestrial or cable TV is not available like
border, remote and tribal areas.
Doordarshan also provides a separate 10-
channel DTH service in C-Band exclusively for
the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
