Star Utsav and All Other Broadcasting New Shows for DD Free Dish users from 10 June 2020?
so after a long time, the popular channels of DD Free Dish like Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Colors Rishtey, and Sony Pal are coming back on DD Freedish DTH Platform.
Finally after Huge Public Demand Star Utsav, Zee Anmol, Colors Rishtey, and Sony Pal Rejoining The DD Freedish DTH Platform. after the Trai new rules for cable and DTH operators on 31 March 2019 all the Major Broadcaster like Star, Zee, Sony Left the DD Freedish DTH Platform.
TV channels Star Utsav, Colors Rishtey, Zee Anmol, Zee Anmol Cinema and Sony Pal are once again returning to DD Free Dish. All these channels of the largest entertainment companies in India, Star India, Viacom 18, Zee Entertainment, and Sony Pictures Networks India, were separated from DD Free Dish in the hope of becoming a subscription-based channel. But this channel failed to live up to the expectations of broadcasters after being separated from this platform. Eventually, they have to come back to the platform again.
Now, these five channels will remain at their base price on the same platform from 10 June 2020 to 31 March 2021. The channel companies had removed these channels from DD Free Dish’s platform on 1 March 2019. But according to TRAI’s release of new tariff plans, these channels did not find a place in the category of subscription-based channels. These channels, along with the rest of the channels, were getting space on any platform ranging from 10 paise to one rupee. Also, there was a huge drop in viewership of these channels.

At the time when these channels were part of DD Free Dish, at that time they were seen very much in rural areas of India. But, since last year when these channels were taken out of this platform, their viewership has fallen by almost 95 percent. When the viewership of these channels decreased, the channels also had difficulties in getting advertisements. Due to this, companies of these channels have suffered huge losses. Now coming back with DD Free Dish, this channel will try to gain its lost respect. Companies hope that these channels can benefit from the lockdown caused by the coronavirus.
this channel was specially made for the DD Freedish DTH Audience they were broadcasting repeated shows from there main channels and getting TRP for these shows which were broadcasted before 5 to 7 years ago.
This content was ok for DD Freedish because there wasn’t any major paid channel available on DD Freedish, and that’s the reason the old content was getting popular and these channels were gaining there TRP and Income by Rebroadcasting the old content. But as soon as they left this Free DTH Platform by Doordarshan They saw a big drop in there TRP and Income, because the content they were broadcasting was not changed this, was very old content for the cable tv and paid dth audience have seen these serials many times so the idea of removing these channels got flopped badly.
But now after this big gap, other broadcasters like Adhikari Brothers’ Dangal Channel, Shemarrow TV, and some other channel got TRP.
So now there is some competition for this Populer Broadcaster from the channels like Shemarro Tv and Many More. To Face this they have to change their content and have to broadcast some Fresh shows or serials which is not old then 2 to 3 years otherwise they will not get as much TRP as they are expecting From DD Freedish Audience.
