Bangkok is a fascinating place that has so much to offer, but to the uninitiated it can be very overwhelming. This bustling metropolis is 1,568.7 square kilometres in size and is home to over 10-million people! As such, deciding on where to live can be a difficult process.
If you are thinking about moving to Bangkok and haven’t yet settled on an area, this is the article for you. We’re going to look at the Chatuchak neighbourhood and all of the amazing things it has to offer.
Table of Contents
Chatuchak is home to the largest outdoor market in all of south-east Asia: Chatuchak Market (aka JJ-Market). Naturally, this is a shopper’s paradise. You can buy anything from designer clothing, hand-crafted goods, artwork, and antiques, to kitchenware, bags, fabrics, and souvenirs.
But it’s not just the immense market in Chatuchak; there are loads of shopping malls for you to peruse, from J.J Mall, to the Metro Mall MRT in Chatuchak Park.
There is plenty of amazing food to be had in and around Chatuchak market. Whether you are looking for a world-class restaurant or you are happy sampling the local cuisine from the many street stalls, you’ll find no shortage of delicious food in this neighbourhood. You can even find a yummy selection of vegan and vegetarian restaurants about as well!
