14 New Channels coming soon on DD Freedish DTH Platform

DD Free Dish is inviting applications for filling up its MPEG 4 slots. This will be the 46th E-auction for DD Free Dish. The allotment period will be from 01.07.2020 to 31.03.2021.
Bidding within the e-auction of MPEG-4 slots are going to be hospitable all genre (language) Channels at a reserve price of Rs. 5.0 Lakhs/annum. Accordingly, starting reserve price for the period from 01.07.2020 to 31.03.2021 is going to be Rs.3.75 Lakhs.

Only satellite channels that are licensed by the Ministry of I&B for downlinking in India would be allowed to participate within the e-Auction.

So here is Big Breaking News that 14 new channels can be launched on DD Free Dish DTH Platform. These channels will be added through 46th E-Auction which will be Organize for MPEG 4 Slots on DD Free Dish DTH Platform.

So the new channels will be added in MPEG 4 Format on DD Free DIsh MPEG 2 Set top box users will not able to watch these channels, so this is bad news for MPEG 2 Set Top Box Users. so currently there are 20 MPEG 4 Slots on DD Free Dish so the 46 e-auction will be for 20 MPEG 4 channels slots.

Some of the MPEG 4 slots currently having channels like DD HD, Astha Bhajan, Vedic TV, Sudarshan TV so the remaining Slots will be fulfilled by the channels which will be won in MPEG4 slots in 46 e auction for DD Freedish.

So the channels slots can also be increased as they did before for MPEG 2 slots.
